Self-Guided Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (CEU)

About this course

This self-paced workshop is presented by Chicago Center for Relationship Counseling and includes the information provided by the model program offered by State of Illinois Department of Human Rights. The training provides an explanation of sexual harassment consistent with the Illinois Human Rights Act; examples of conduct that may constitute unlawful sexual harassment; a summary of Federal and State statutory laws concerning sexual harassment including remedies available to victims; and a summary of employer responsibilities in the prevention, investigation, and corrective measures of sexual harassment. This workshop has been tailored for the field of psychotherapy and addresses both professional and clinical situations. The workshop is administered through slides with no audio and takes one hour to complete. 

This training meets the minimum standards in subsection (B) of 775 ILCS 5/2-109: the annual training requirement for employers and the renewal requirement for licensed mental health clinicians in the state of Illinois. Chicago Center for Relationship Counseling's Continuing Education (CE) Sponsorship is approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), and credits are applicable to LMFT (Sponsor License # 168.000227) and LCPC (Sponsor License # 197.000295) in Illinois. If you have a different licensure or are licensed outside of Illinois please check with your licensure body before purchasing and attending our workshops.

Credits are applicable to LMFT (Sponsor License # 168.000227) and LCPC (Sponsor License # 197.000295) in Illinois. If you have a different licensure or are licensed outside of Illinois please check with your licensure body before purchasing and attending our workshops. IDFPR's Marriage and Family Therapy Continuing Education Sponsor Requirements: It is the responsibility of the sponsor to provide each participant in an approved program with a certificate of participation or attendance for each successfully completed course or program. The sponsor shall maintain participation or attendance records and course materials containing all of the above information for not less than five years. The sponsor shall be responsible for assuring that no renewal applicant shall receive CE credit for time not actually spent attending the program. All programs given by approved sponsors shall be open to all Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and not be limited to members of a single organization or group. All courses or programs offered online whether “live” or asynchronous must include an objective examination before credit is awarded to ensure continued active participation in the program. Credits are applicable to LMFT (Sponsor License # 168.000227) and LCPC (Sponsor License # 197.000295) in Illinois. If you have a different licensure or are licensed outside of Illinois please check with your licensure body before purchasing and attending our workshops. IDFPR Professional Counselor (LPC and LCPC) Continuing Education Sponsor Requirements: Sponsor means a person, firm, association, corporation, or any other group which plans to coordinate and present continuing education courses or programs. The sponsor shall maintain participation or attendance records and course materials containing all of the above information for not less than five years. The sponsor shall be responsible for assuring that no renewal applicant shall receive CE credit for time not actually spent attending the program. All programs given by approved sponsors shall be open to all Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors and not be limited to members of a single organization or group. All courses or programs offered online whether “live” or asynchronous must include an objective examination before credit is awarded to ensure continued active participation in the program. Approved Licensed Professional Counselor CE Sponsors will have a 9 digit license number starting with 197. The license will be visible in IDFPR’s online license verification.
